Refunds and Transfers

This page summarises how refunds, transfers, class minimums, and online payments are handled for BARISTA TRAINING ACADEMY course bookings.
If we cancel or move a class
If BARISTA TRAINING ACADEMY cancels a scheduled class or cannot run it because minimum numbers are not reached, booked students will be offered a suitable transfer option or a refund of the course fee paid.
If you need to transfer
Contact us as early as possible before your class. Requests made 7 or more calendar days before class will usually be eligible for one transfer to an available future date, subject to availability.
Late changes
Requests made less than 7 calendar days before class are reviewed case by case. Requests made less than 48 hours before class may be limited, especially where a seat has been reserved and cannot be refilled.
No-shows
Non-attendance without notice may be recorded as a no-show and may mean the booking is forfeited unless exceptional circumstances apply.
Payments are processed in AUD
Course prices displayed on this website are the student-facing online checkout price. Online payments are processed in Australian dollars. Payment processing is built into the listed price and no separate card surcharge is added at checkout.
Refund reviews
Student-requested refunds are assessed against the timing of the request, whether a seat has been reserved, whether training has commenced, the reason for the request, and any rights that apply under Australian Consumer Law.
Approved refunds are normally returned to the original payment method. We will confirm the outcome of a refund or transfer request in writing.
Consumer rights
Nothing on this page limits any consumer guarantee, refund right, or remedy that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law. This summary should be read together with the full student policies.
